On June 15, 2021, we presented an episode of I Love You 2021 that featured BIPOC artists who seek to actively encourage Black History and representation in the arts sector. Our host this month was Lynnie Godfrey, and guests were Mandi Jo John, the founder and executive director of the Orlando-based Black Theatre Girl Magic, and Donte Miller (founder of heARTs Productions) and Tymara Walker, Las Vegas-based performers and co-writers of the musical The Rocking Chair, a story told from the perspective of a grandmother in her rocking chair about her life growing up on a plantation .
