Margaret (“Gret”) is a Connecticut native. After graduating with a Vocal Performance degree from Boston University’s School for the Arts, she moved to New York City to chase her dream. But fate had a different idea about where her home base would be to realize that dream. She took what was supposed to be a brief contract in Las Vegas to create and arrange a new show opening at the historic Las Vegas Hilton. Gret has been performing and directing in Sin City and beyond ever since, most recently on the North American tour of Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA, where she was a backstage manager.
Favorite past roles include doubling as the Assistant Director of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, while also playing Connie, the pregnant Maid of Honor, Carol in 50 Shades: The Parody, also at Bally’s, Sister Robert Ann and Sister Amnesia in Nunsense at both LVH and Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, and Susan in Company at LVH. In addition to her theatrical work, Gret can be seen performing frequently at Keith Thompson’s Composers Showcase at The Smith Center, and she is the mezzo-soprano and a producer/arranger for her critically-acclaimed all-female vocal trio Dangerous Curves (named LA’s Critics’ Choice – Best Cabaret Act on broadwayworld.com). Together they have recorded and released two albums: Girl Talk and Star of Wonder (both available on iTunes and Amazon.com).
Gret has become a sought-after studio, background, and harmony singer and also works as a guest musical director and vocal coach for various theatre companies and schools throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Exploring the world of virtual theatre with her colleagues at Virtual Arts has been an ever-inspiring challenge, and she is excited about discovering what this quirky and unique platform is capable of doing next. Gret is married to her best friend and greatest musical inspiration, Michael, and is a proud Shiba Inu mom.
